Tickets Now on Sale: A Sporting Celebration Returns to Prague This June

JS209485The ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague - Troja has long been synonymous with world-class sport and an unforgettable visitor experience. Each year, it offers fans a rare opportunity to see the biggest names in canoe slalom up close, while newcomers can enjoy a vibrant day outdoors filled with sport, entertainment, and culture. One thing is certain - Troja never disappoints. Ticket sales officially open on Monday, April 26.

Where Sport Meets Atmosphere

Following the opening round in Tacen, Slovenia, the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup series heads to the Czech Republic. The Prague event will run from Friday, June 5, culminating in a thrilling weekend finale on Sunday, June 7, 2026, featuring the crowd-favourite kayak cross.

Olympic Stars On and Off the Water

The Czech national team will be determined through the May qualification races of the Czech Cup. However, visitors can already look forward to meeting a host of well-known athletes, former representatives, and Olympic medallists along the banks of the Vltava River.

“The canoe slalom community is known for its hands-on spirit - everyone gets involved. Olympic medallists are often part of the organising team, and I’m a perfect example,” says Organising Committee Director Jiří Rohan, a two-time Olympic silver medallist in the C2 category. “Events like this are an incredible learning experience for a future career in sport. In the past, athletes such as Jiří Prskavec and his coach and father Jiří, Vavřinec Hradilek, and world champion Vít Přindiš have all contributed. That may be one of the reasons why Troja has such a unique atmosphere and such loyal fans,” he adds.

The venue will once again offer excellent facilities, including a wide selection of food and refreshments. Visitors can also enjoy a rich accompanying programme, autograph sessions, and a variety of fan activities.

One of the defining features of the Prague event is its medal ceremonies, where winners are honoured with live performances of their national anthems by talented slalom paddler Eva Říhová - an initiative that sets Troja apart on the World Cup circuit. “Organisers from other World Cup events genuinely envy us this tradition,” notes Rohan.

Another highlight is the unique layout of the venue. “Spectators are just a few metres from the course, making Troja one of the most exciting and intimate stops on the World Cup tour,” says Rohan.
