Friday's programme will feature the kayak events, while Saturday will belong to the canoe specialists. The competition will conclude on Sunday with the spectacular Kayak Cross races.
The first athletes will take to the water on Friday at 12:30 p.m. with the women's kayak heats. “It's a great show. I love the atmosphere created by commentators Míra Lenc and Dan Stach, together with all the fans who come to cheer us on,” said Jakub Krejčí, winner of the previous World Cup race in Tacen.
The Czech Republic will once again field a strong team in Kayak Cross. Vít Přindiš and Jakub Krejčí will compete in both slalom and Kayak Cross, while Kateřina Beková and Tereza Kneblová will represent the home nation in the women's events.
“Kayak Cross is gradually becoming my main discipline. We'll see how successful I can be in slalom this season after a break,” said former World Champion Vít Přindiš.
Organisers invite all fans to come and support the athletes and enjoy the unique atmosphere of a world-class sporting event. The energy from the spectators often helps athletes deliver outstanding performances. Those unable to attend in person will be able to follow the action through Czech Television and other media platforms.
“We are proud to host the World Cup in Prague for the twenty-second time. This event is always a major challenge for us, but also a great opportunity to showcase not only the beautiful venue in Troja but also the strength of Czech canoe slalom,” said Jiří Rohan, Chairman of the Organising Committee.
The event is held with the financial support of the National Sports Agency and the City of Prague. The General Partner of the event is ČEZ Group, while UNIQA Insurance is the Main Partner.
