Gabriela Satková is the new European champion in C1

satkove sestry mThe first to fight for the European medals in Prague on Saturday afternoon were the women canoeists. Only 18-year-old Gabriela Satková was the first from the home paddlers on the start. She showed a superfast run but she had to go back to the gate number 12 and it took her the precious seconds. However, she managed to gain some advantage thanks to the last part of the course. She set the time of 121.75s and took the lead.

CPA 1153The Thursday´s (17) press conference before the start of the 2020 ECA European Canoe Slalom Championships in Prague – Troja had the six Czech team members including the two Tokyo comers Jiří Prskavec and Kateřina Kudějová. In hotel Jalta, also the chairman of the Organising committee Jiří Rohan, the team manager Stanislav Ježek and the president of the Czech Canoe Union Jan Boháč.

Athletes from 20 countries are expected to start in Czech Republic and the championships will be closed for the general public.

Paddleride already on Sunday 13 September

padlo mAlso this year, the organisers of the upcoming ECA European canoe slalom championships 2020 have included the Paddleride for the public and sports fans on Sunday 13th September, as usual Prague city centre boat ride. One of the main organisers is again the actual European champion in K1 Vit Prindis, who will defend his title in a week in Prague at the upcoming championships.

The canoe slalom season peaks in Prague – Troja. New European champions will be crowned in two weeks

WC 007The international canoe slalom peak of the season for many competitors will be the European canoe slalom championships in Prague, which will host the event already after two years. Originally cancelled championships in London last spring is going to be replaced on Troja artificial slalom course on 18 – 20 September 2020. The complete Czech team will face the top competitors from all over Europe.
