This coming weekend, on May 16–17, 2026, the final selection of the Czech national canoe slalom team for the upcoming season will be decided in Prague’s Troja venue. The second nomination weekend promises dramatic races and battles for every single gate.

After a year-long break, Vít Přindiš is returning to the Czech elite. The kayaker has been through a period of change, reflection and new experiences - and now he is heading back to the start line. One major certainty is already in place: he has earned a spot on the national team in kayak cross. Now, he wants to add classic slalom as well. If everything goes according to plan, he will compete in two disciplines at the World Cup in Prague-Troja from 5 to 7 June 2026. First, however, he faces a crucial domestic selection race.

The ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague - Troja has long been synonymous with world-class sport and an unforgettable visitor experience. Prague-Troja will once again host one of the highlights of the international canoe slalom season this year. From 5 to 7 June 2026, the Troja slalom course will welcome a new edition of the Canoe Slalom World Cup, bringing the absolute world elite to the Czech capital along with a unique sporting atmosphere.

Three days of thrilling competition, summer temperatures, amazing fans, and world-class performances — that was this year’s Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague–Troja (June 27–29). The Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague -Troja concluded with an afternoon of kayak cross races. Czech fans were treated to a double home presence in the finals, which turned into a medal celebration - Tereza Kneblova dominated the women’s field, while Martin Rudorfer secured silver, finishing just behind reigning Olympic champion Finn Butcher.

The third day of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague-Troja is all about kayak cross. In the individual time trials, the top spots were taken by Australia’s Jessica Fox and Belgium’s Gabriel de Coster. The Czech team celebrated two medals, thanks to Olga Samkova, who claimed bronze, and Jakub Krejci, who finished one place higher with silver. The afternoon continues with head-to-head knockout rounds.

The K1 finals continued the storyline from the morning’s canoe events, with Evy Leibfarth claiming her first-ever World Cup victory and the French duo Titouan Castryck and Anatole Delassus dominating the men’s podium. Camille Prigent added a silver medal for France. Jiri Prskavec finished fifth, and Antonie Galuskova placed ninth.

The second day of the Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague was dedicated to the canoeists. Zuzana Pankova celebrated her first-ever victory in the World Cup series, while the men’s canoe final ended in dramatic fashion with Nicolas Gestin taking the win by just three hundredths of a second. Yesterday’s winner, Gabriela Satkova, finished fourth in front of the home crowd, while the only Czech finalist among the men, Adam Král, came in ninth.

The premiere of the short slalom event at the opening round of the ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup in Prague delivered an exciting spectacle and double medal celebration for the home fans. Sisters Gabriela and Martina Satkova shared the podium in the women’s canoe category. In women’s kayak, victory went to Jessica Fox, while Jakub Grigar triumphed among the men and Adam Burgess recorded the fastest time in the men’s canoe final.
